Been feeling the usual highs and lows the past 2 months, damn my mild bi-polar disorder and all that shit. Felt suicidal, felt deliriously happy, felt terribly optimistic, felt painfully negative all at the same time. I've decided to make a list of things that makes me happy/thankful for to remind myself of the things I've taken for granted or forgotten. Here it goes in no particular order:
1. I have a loving family. Whatever dyfuctionalities my family has just adds to the uniqueness of it all
2. I have (reasonably) good health.
3. I have no physical disabilities (something most of us take for granted).
4. I have my own car, so i rarely worry about transportation.
5. I have a job that I enjoy (sorta) that pays for the car and everything else.
6. My co-workers are great people to work with and also to be friends with.
7. I have more than I need.
8. I've learnt to stop hating. It takes too much energy and it's much easier to forgive.
9. I have 2 adorable doggies
10. I've learnt to smile and laugh more (i used to think being depressed was cool WAHAHAHA)
11. Clouds.
12. Cigarettes
13. Chocolate.
14. I got to visit Melbourne, Australia for a week.
15. I am the proud owner or many many many books.
16. Although sometimes it's laggy shit, I have an internet connection.
17. My pc hasn't thrown a tantrum at me for quite some time.
18. Cheesecake.
19. Tom Yam.
20. The wind in my hair when im driving.
21. Walking in the rain.
22. Bishonen in dresses
23. Deviantart - looking at the lovely artwork of others always makes me happy.
24. I've had a serious 3 year relationship which didn't work out, but it was one that I learnt a lot from, and helped me change for the better.
25. Riding in trains.
26. Driving through the quiet streets of Kuala Lumpur at 3 a.m. in the morning, admiring the modern and colonial structures.
27. Big, think trunked, leafy, shady trees.
28. I had a chance to get an education (and i survived the whole grueling process).
29. Realising there are many things to be thankful for instead of just whining about the unfairness of life.
30. At this point of writing, I've just finished 1 whole tub of Haagen-Dazs Macadamia Nut n Vanilla ice-cream and I don't feel the least bit guilty
